Learning to identify gaits while they are actually being performed is difficult because the horse is moving too quickly and there are several things to watch for.
This CD-ROM breaks each gait down into its elements, using audio, pictures, and video. The video of each gait can be viewed frame-by-frame and at full speed.

How movement is generated

Animation: reaching and folding
Frame: collection and extension
Natural gaits: walk, trot, canter, gallop, back
Alternate gaits: pace, running walk, slow gait, rack, fox trot, paso llano, sobreandando, paso fino, and (briefly) other gaits.
